Sky Farm located on Allen Road in Liberty Corner behind a secure electronically operated gate is certainly not a farm in
the traditional sense. Though its 35 verdant acres share some of the same fertile fields that produce the great
produce of the English farm and home to the sweet-sapped maple trees tapped by the adjacent Sons of Liberty
Farm in the refining of maple syrup. But Sky Farm does share the famous Liberty Corner characteristics of both freedom and
contribution to history. For Sky Farm is the the oldest nudist community in the country having been founded in 1929, where
members are "free" to shed the confines of their clothing and become one with nature. Since acquiring the Liberty Corner property in 1932, Sky Farm has functioned as a member-owned cooperative. Located
on the property are approximately 60 cottages which mostly began as tent platforms from the ‘30s and ‘40s. A dormitory
(now known as Sky Farm Lodge) provided overnight accommodations for members who traveled mostly by train to the Farm.
Sky Farm is open 365 days a year. Besides enjoying the facilities during the warm weather, many members come out during
the winter months to walk around the property, use the sauna and enjoy the tranquility that its setting provides.
